Commitment to Safety
Resource Environmental, Inc. has an absolute, unqualified commitment to the health and safety of our
employees, customers, and communities. At Resource production and schedule does not take precedence
over health and safety.
In accordance with Resource's Corporate Health,
Safety and Regulatory Compliance Policy Statement,
striving to provide employees with a consistently safe work environment, Resource has developed a proactive,
comprehensive, up-to-date Health and Safety Program.
The key elements of Resource's Program as listed below have produced a safety program that not only
addresses the issues of regulatory compliance and cost containment, but also the reduction and strived-for
elimination of injuries to our most valued asset-the Resource Employee:
- Our program has a zero accident focus; one injury is one too many. This zero accident philosophy is
shared by all employees, from top management down.
- All Resource staff is instructed to stop any work activity when a health and safety threat or potential
threat exists.
- All operating personnel undergo intensive hazardous material training in accordance with OSHA,
EPA and all local, state and federal regulations.
- Our strict medical surveillance, drug testing and pre-employment screening programs assure that
Resource personnel are fit and ready to execute their various service disciplines to their utmost
capability.
- Operating personnel participate in daily "tailgate" safety meetings at the jobsite, weekly safety
meetings, monthly safety awareness discussions, quarterly safety training sessions and special
safety incentive programs that motivate and encourage full worker participation.
- Near miss/loss incidents are identified and investigated. When an event "almost" happens, Resource
launches an investigation to determine why the incident occurred. Determining why the near loss
occurred allows us to institute change to our work methodologies to reduce risk to life and property.
At Resource, top management is constantly seeking new and more effective methods to reduce safety
losses, and thus provide a safer and healthier place for all employees to work.
